Fine Gael Leader Enda Kenny TD and Deputy Leader Richard Bruton TD unveil the party's canvass card for a nationwide canvass over the summer months

On 7th June Enda Kenny commenced his first formal visit to Washington as Fine Gael Leader, which included discussions with the US Administration and politicians regarding emigrant affairs, the ratification of the EU Constitution and trade issues. While there Deputy Kenny also called on the US Administration and Irish-American political leaders to intensify pressure on the provisional movement to end its involvement in paramilitary and criminal activity.

On 8 June 2005, the Fine Gael and Labour Spokespersons on Health and Children, Dr Liam Twomey TD and Liz McManus TD published twelve conclusions relating to the Travers Report which the Fianna Fáil/PD majority on the Health Committee had refused to include in the Committee’s Report.

Party Health Spokesperson, Dr Liam Twomey TD launched a National Health Screening Policy on Wednesday, 18 May which would offer free health screening to all adults every five years and involve an information and education campaign on better health.

On May 10, Party Leader Enda Kenny TD, launched the YFG suicide awareness campaign, 'Talk', which highlighted the fact that every 45 minutes at least one Irish person attempts to die by suicide
