Paul was elected to Dáil Éireann for the constituency of Galway East on February 25th, 2011

Previously he was elected to Galway County Council in June 2009

He is a member of the Public Accounts Committee

He has worked as a youth worker with Foróige

He is married to Edel and lives in Mountbellew, Co. Galway

He qualified with a Marketing Degree from GMIT and also has a Certificate in Agriculture from Mountbellew Agricultural College and a H. Dip in marketing from NUIG.

He enjoys GAA, soccer and many other sports.
