Sean Conlan TD

Sean was elected to Ballybay Town Council in June 2009. During his time as a student in UCD, he was a Chairperson of Young Fine Gael. He was educated at Ballybay N.S., St Macartan's College, Monaghan and graduated with a BA Honours degree in Economics from UCD. Sean is a practicing Solicitor, and he owns Conlan’s Bar on Main Street in Ballybay. He is a member of Ballybay Economic Forum and its representative on the County Development Board. He brings a fresh and dynamic approach to politics and his priorities are job creation & investment by working with all relevant organisations to promote local industry, business, agriculture, education, and development of services at Monaghan and Cavan General Hospitals.

Some other facts about Sean: Sean is a native of Ballybay, and has lived there for most of his life. He enjoys kayaking, when the water is high. His favourite film is the “Shawshank Redemption”. Sean’s other hobbies include listening to music and reading. His favourite quote is “If you always do, what you always did, you’ll always get, what you always got”.
