Sean Conlan TD

Sean was elected to Ballybay Town Council in June 2009. During his time as a student in UCD, he was a Chairperson of Young Fine Gael. He was educated at Ballybay N.S., St Macartan’s College, Monaghan and graduated with a BA Honours degree in Economics from UCD. Sean is a practicing Solicitor, and he owns Conlan'’s Bar on Main Street in Ballybay. He brings a fresh and dynamic approach to politics and his priorities are job creation & investment by working with all relevant organisations to promote local industry, business, agriculture, education, and development of services at Monaghan and Cavan General Hospitals. Sean was elected to the Dáil in 2011.

In his spare time, Seán enjoys kayaking. He also enjoys listening to music and reading.


New legislation to tackle cross border crime – Conlan

Fine Gael TD for Cavan/Monaghan, Seán Conlan TD, has today (Wednesday), welcomed the publication of the Criminal Justice (Mutual Assistance) (Amendment) Bill by the Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald TD. This legislation will enhance co-operation with other EU Member States in fighting crime.

€15,000 allocated for children’s play area in Monaghan - Conlan

Fine Gael Cavan/Monaghan TD, Sean Conlan has welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, James Reilly TD, that €15,000 has been allocated to play and recreation projects in Monaghan.

Driving licence agreement with Ontario to benefit Irish abroad – Conlan
