Terence Flanagan TD

Terence was first elected to the 30th Dáil in 2007 and was appointed spokesperson on Housing. Terence worked as a Councillor for four years before being elected to Dáil Éireann. He was co-opted to Dublin City Council in October 2003 to replace Deputy Richard Bruton. He was elected to Dublin City Council to represent the Artane Ward on the first count with 2,600 first preference votes in May 2004.

Some other facts on Terence: Terence was educated in St. David’s B.N.S and Chanel College, Malahide Road, Dublin. He studied Accounting and Business in Dublin Business School and qualified as an Accountant. Before taking up his appointment to the Dáil, Terence worked for many years in the Banking industry. He plays percussion and is part of the Artane Senior Band, having started in the Artane Boys Band. His favourite film is The Shawshank Redemption. He enjoys an occasional game of Golf or Pitch & Putt in his spare time.
