Árd Fheis

Our 79th Árd Fheis will take place in Citywest Hotel, Saggart on Friday/Saturday, 16/17 November.

Accommodation Access to Árd Fheis Elections Voting

On-line Registration has now closed.  Don’t worry if you haven’t pre-registered; you can still register, but please be aware that you must do so at the Citywest Convention Centre.
Our Registration Desk will be open from 4pm to 8pm on Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday.
Delegates will be required to produce their Membership Card and Photo ID. Travelling companions will have to be vouched for by a member.

Getting to Citywest – by road

From Limerick, Cork, Kerry

• Follow N7 by-passing Naas, heading towards Dublin
• After approximately 10km, exit left (Exit 4) following the signs for R120/Saggart
• Drive into Saggart and turn left at the crossroads, following the signs for Citywest Hotel
• After 1km, Citywest Hotel is on your left

From Dublin

• Follow the signs for “The West” and or “The South” heading for the M50
• Follow the signs for “The South” and exit the M50 onto the N7 (towards Limerick and Cork)
• After about 6km, you will see signs for Citywest Business Campus, ignore them and take the following exit (3a) for Citywest Hotel, marked by brown traffic signs (just after Miele offices)
• Exit off the N7 and carry on straight for just over 1km
• Citywest is on your right

From the rest of Ireland

• Follow signs for Dublin and you will come to the M50
• Follow signs for “The South” and exit the M50 onto N7 (signed for Limerick and Cork)
• After about 4 miles/6km, you will see signs for Citywest Business Campus, ignore them and take the following exit (3a) for Citywest Hotel, marked by brown traffic signs (just after Miele offices)
• Exit off the N7 and carry on straight for just over 1km
• Citywest is on your right

LUAS

• Take the Red Line (from Connolly Station, via Heuston Station) – approx.. 49 mins.
• Alight at Saggart
• Walk the remaining 350m (approx.. 4 mins.)

Delegates can book accommodation in Citywest Hotel:

• Saturday Night only – €130 B&B Single / €145 B&B Double/Twin.
• Friday & Saturday – €120 B&B Single, per night / €135 B&B Double/Twin, per night.

Access to Árd Fheis

Only members who have registered (in advance, or on site) will be allowed access to the Árd Fheis – and should wear their accreditation, and carry their Membership card with them, at all times.

Elections

The following members of Executive Council are elected at the Árd Fheis:

• President
• Vice-Presidents (2)
• Parliamentary Party (4)
• Council of Local Public Representatives (2)
• Members for Dublin, Connacht/Ulster, Leinster and Munster, who are not Public Representatives (3 on each panel)

Voting
The following members are entitled to vote at the Árd Fheis:

• All Members of the Parliamentary Party
• All Local Public Representatives (Councillors and Members of the Board of Údarás na Gaeltachta)
• All Members of Executive Council
• All Constituency and District Officers
• Five delegates from each Branch*

* Delegate Voting Cards will be issued to Branch Secretaries; it is a matter for each Branch to decide how best to allocate Delegate Votes.   Members attending the Árd Fheis should contact their Branch Secretary in advance, if they wish to vote.

Voting will take place from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, 17 November. All those wishing to cast a vote will be required to produce their Delegate Voting Card, Membership Card and a form of photo i.d.

The following forms of photo i.d. are acceptable:

• Passport/Passport Card
• Driver’s Licence
• Public Services Card
• Travel Pass/Travel document containing name and photograph
• Student ID card, issued by an educational institution and containing a photograph

Motions
The closing date for receipt of Motions is Friday, 26 October (5.30pm). Secretaries of All Units of the Party (Branch, District or Constituency) have received full details. The Executive Council is responsible for arranging the final Agenda for the Árd Fheis, including deciding which Motions are included on the Clár.

Crèche
