Tom Fox

Tom Fox is a Fine Gael member of Sligo County Council and was elected for the first time in 2019. He currently serves as Leas Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council having been elected to the position in June 2023. He previously served as Cathaoirleach of the Sligo Drumcliff Municipal District in 2019 and was elected to the role for a second time in June 2022.

Born in 1966 and raised in Sligo, Tom spent his early years working in the family business before moving aboard where he worked in construction and housing returning home to his native Sligo where he now operates a successful Estate Agency business along with interests as a part time farmer where he enjoys physical activities and follows competitive sport.

In his time as a Councillor, he has held a number of positions and is currently serving as a member of the following committees:

Tom is passionate about community development, driven by a strong sense of social justice, social inclusion and the importance of empowerment.
