Cllr Michael FitzGerald

Michael has served as a member of South Tipperary County Council since 1979, has twice been elected Chairperson, in 1992 and 2002 and is a life-long member of Fine Gael.

His priorities for the region include care of the environment and combating litter on rural roads, continued development of road infrastructure, proper planning and services for rural areas, combating anti-social behaviour in towns and villages, especially ‘boy racing’ and improvements to the health service.  A married father of four, he enjoys walking rugby, Gaelic games and theatre.
