McHugh announces €884,000 in funding allocation under Local Improvement Scheme
€884,000 in funding has been secured for Local Improvement Schemes in Donegal. The funding will allow for the repair and improvement of small roads and laneways leading to local people’s homes and businesses that are not under the normal maintenance of the Local Authorities.

Cyber Risk Aware has opened at the CoLab at LYIT with an initial job creation of eight positions and plans to treble the workforce. The award-winning company chose Letterkenny as its location because of access to highly qualified local talent.
McHugh announces €129,800 funding boost for Donegal Volunteer Centre
Donegal Volunteer Centre plays a vital role in enabling volunteering locally, allowing them to give back to the community. The Centre publicises opportunities and facilitates volunteers who want to feel connected to their community. It helps foster a sense of involvement and promotes good citizenship. Since 2008 they have helped 2,500 people to volunteer across a range of areas in Donegal. Donegal Volunteer Centre provides good practice in volunteering and is a major asset to our county and our community. This funding of €129,800 will help them continue their incredible work in 2018
McHugh congratulates Milford crew as €400,000 Government-funded fire truck delivered
I congratulated the firefighters of Milford as they received their new €400,000 fire truck today. The new tender, built using a Scania P320 chasis,in Spiddal, Co Galway, will serve the Fanad and Rossguil peninsulas and surrounding areas. This new fire engine is one of 20 commissioned by Government around the country.
Letterkenny Tennis Club awarded €53,500 Government regional sports grant – McHugh
I am delighted to announce that Letterkenny Tennis Club has been awarded €53,500 in Government funding today. The club has ambitious plans to expand and enhance their site and to become a centre of excellence for the entire region, not just Donegal. Cabinet approves more than €1.7M to Council for initial flood clean-up – McHugh
THE Cabinet today approved more than €1.7M in payments to Donegal County Council to cover the costs of the initial clean-up after the Inishowen Flood. A payment of €1,729,122 will be made to the council in the coming days.
McHugh announces Towns and villages in Donegal set to benefit from €1.15M funding
13 Donegal projects are to receive €1.15M under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme. The funding will see funding to digital hubs in Kilcar, Carrigart/Downings and on Arranmore Island as well as ehancement schemes in Newtowncunningham, Falcarragh, Convoy, Ballyliffin, Burtonport, , Churchill, Dunkineely, Mountcharles, Rathmullan and St Johnston.
€14.5M for Donegal farmers under the Areas of Natural Constraints Scheme – McHugh

Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail Moville is to receive funding for necessary works including two mainstream classrooms, the refurbishment of existing two classrooms, two SET rooms, Principal’s Office, Staff room and General Office, Store room and Staff/Disabled Shower.
