Catherine is originally from Mayo, from a family with a long association with Fine Gael. She was a solicitor with expertise in the area of commercial litigation. She speaks fluent Italian having studied at the Università di Verona.
Catherine is keenly interested in the Arts and believes it to be more important than ever as a sector in these financially turbulent times.
Tourism is also a sector on which she has relied heavily in the past during challenging financial times and she shall endeavour to promote tourism by promoting incentives and measures to strengthen the Irish Tourism Product.
Throughout her years of involvement with Fine Gael in Dublin, both in Local and General elections, Catherine has gained tremendous experience and have made many good friends.
