Government provides €240,000 for Community Centres in Donegal- McHugh

I am delighted to see funding being provided for community centres in Donegal. McHugh encourages Donegal “old young farmers” to apply for National Reserve Fund

“Old young farmers are farmers who established their holding between 1st January 2008 and 31st December 2009 and who are now be eligible to apply for phase two of the National Reserve Fund when the application facility comes online in April”, says Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs and Natural Resources and TD for Donegal, Joe Mc Hugh.

McHugh encourages farmers to attend Donegal CAP meeting

Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Fine Gael TD for Donegal, Joe McHugh, has encouraged Donegal farmers to attend a meeting on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) taking place in Letterkenny on Monday, 9th March 2015. The meeting forms part of a series of 14 regional information meetings in relation to CAP implementation.

Minister McHugh welcomes €123 million package of quotas for whitefish fishermen

Minister of State Joe McHugh TD, commenting on today’s announcement: “I welcome confirmation from the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD, that following discussions with the European Commission, a total of €123 million in value of quotas was secured for the whitefish fishermen, an increase from last year.
