Liam Twomey TD
Liam Twomey is a member of Fine Gael in the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) representing the Wexford constituency. He is Chairman of the Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and is heavily involved in Fine Gael’s Pro Business Group.
As a registered medical practitioner he has a special interest in health policy and health outcomes and was a spokesperson for Fine Gael from 2004 to 2007.
He has been a member of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) since 2002 and has served in the Irish Parliament (Dail) since that time, apart from the years 2007 to 20011 when he was the Party Spokesperson on Finance in the Seanad (Senate).
He went to University in Trinity College Dublin and is originally from Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
He is married to Elizabeth O’Sullivan and they have three children.
Fine Gael is in coalition with the Labour Party in government since 2011.
