Doherty Relishes European Elections Role

The Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, Regina Doherty TD, today welcomed her appointment as Fine Gael’s Director of Elections for the European Parliament Elections in May. The appointment was announced this afternoon by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
Minister Doherty said, “I am delighted to take up this appointment and look forward to the campaign ahead.
“Fine Gael has a deep bench of talent and will be fielding a strong team of candidates. We have the energy, ideas and drive to build on the recent recovery in our country as well as the strongest relationships within the EU. I look forward to working with our candidates to increase both our votes and seats in May.”
