I sincerely congratulate Catherine Connolly on becoming our next President of Ireland.

She will be President for all this country and for all of us. I wish her every success. Her success will be Ireland’s success.

I want to thank Heather Humphreys for giving this campaign her all. The campaign for the Presidency is tough, critical, and unrelenting.

Heather stepped up and gave it all she had. We are so proud of her.
