20th March 2026 - Fine Gael Press Office
Tánaiste and Fine Gael leader Simon Harris has appointed Deputy Joe Neville as the party’s spokesperson on Infrastructure and Delivery.
Deputy Joe Neville said: “I am delighted to be appointed by An Tánaiste as spokesperson for Infrastructure and Delivery. As a TD for North Kildare, I know first-hand the need for Ireland to accelerate our Infrastructure delivery to keep up with growing population demands.
“I am focused on ensuring we see the delivery of urgently needed large scale infrastructure projects including the extension of the Limerick to Cork motorway, Greater Dublin Drainage project, DART+, and opening the New Children’s Hospital.
“Infrastructure is the biggest challenge facing our country currently, at a time of economic success we need to ensure we deliver infrastructure to sustain that success but also be the foundation of the economy for future generations.
“I am committed to ensuring red tape and bureaucracy are slashed, unnecessary judicial reviews are reduced, and planning is streamlined.
“This is a great challenge for me but also opportunity to use my own experience and knowledge so I can serve on behalf of Fine Gael, the Government and people of Ireland.
“I want to thank An Tánaiste for appointing me to this role and I look forward to getting started.”
Tánaiste and Fine Gael leader Simon Harris said: ““I am very pleased to appoint Deputy Joe Neville as Fine Gael Spokesperson for Infrastructure and Delivery.
“Joe brings energy, clarity and a strong delivery focus to this position at a time when infrastructure is a key priority for Fine Gael and for Government.
“From major transport investment to housing enabling infrastructure, Joe will play an important role in ensuring we are getting projects moving and delivering for communities across the country.”
“This is about turning plans into progress, and I am confident Joe will make a significant contribution in driving that delivery agenda.”
