Brophy welcomes decision to rebuild Fortunestown store

The decision by Lidl to rebuild their Fortunestown store will be warmly welcomed, a Fine Gael TD has said.
Dublin South-West TD, Colm Brophy, was speaking following the announcement by the company that it plans to open a new and improved store to serve the Jobstown and Citywest community following the events of the 2nd of March.
Deputy Brophy said: “I am delighted that Lidl have decided to rebuild their Fortunestown store. This is a terrific endorsement of their relationship with the local community which has been fostered over many years.
“The decision to rebuild the store is particularly good news for the employees. I know the announcement by Lidl that all jobs would be safe was appreciated by everyone.
“This investment in the Citywest/ Jobstown area is very positive and I know that Lidl will be a cornerstone of the community here for many years to come,” the Fine Gael TD said.
