Fine Gael Senator and Seanad Leas Cathaoirleach, Paul Coghlan, has warmly congratulated his colleague Brendan Griffin TD, on his promotion as Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, with special responsibility for Tourism and Sport.
“Brendan has been a colleague of mine for many years; he is a tireless worker and a very dedicated public servant.
“His elevation to the position of Minister of State is a huge vote of confidence in his ability to get things done.
“This Ministerial position is a perfect fit for Brendan. He is keenly aware of the benefits tourism brings to urban and rural areas as a result of his work on the Wild Atlantic Way in Kerry. He has also worked tirelessly on a number of sporting issues throughout the county.
“I wish Brendan all the best in his new role, and I know he will be successful.”
