Deputy Sean Conlan Delighted to see Construction Start on the new €2.18 Million Residential Care Facility in Castleblayney

Deputy Sean Conlan stated that “After negotiations I had with the Department of the Environment to secure funding of €2.18 Million last year for the Residential Care facility in Castleblayney I am delighted that Construction has now commenced. This new complex will benefit people with special needs from throughout Counties Monaghan Cavan and beyond. The project will comprise a group home as well as ten individual housing units for people with special needs in the region”.

Deputy Conlan continued by stating that “tribute should be paid to Castleblayney Care for all its wonderful work in campaigning for this project. Castleblayney Case is a voluntary organisation which assists families, adults and children with intellectual and physical disabilities throughout counties Cavan and Monaghan Chaired by Sheila Comiskey and based in the mid-Monaghan town.”

This complex when completed will provide this region with one of the best residential care facilities in the Country for people with special needs and is a great assist to our County.
