27th October 2020 - Senator Martin Conway
Shannon is to receive a jobs boost after being selected as the European Centre of Excellence by world leader in functional safety Exida, a Fine Gael Senator has said.
Senator Martin Conway said the company will create 25 jobs in the area over the next five years.
Senator Conway said: “Shannon’s selection as a centre of excellence speaks volumes about the resources, facilities and talent here in Clare.
“This investment is testament to the local infrastructure and services, but primarily is a vote of confidence the high quality and highly qualified workers we have here.
“Our proximity to European customers, support from IDA Ireland and our country’s proven track record for foreign direct investment also played a strong roll in attracting this huge opportunity.
“Exida is a world leader in a highly specialist field and it will be a welcome addition to the business ecosystem for the whole region”.
