Minister Shatter launches social tourism programme between Ireland and Mexico

During his official visit to Mexico, as part of the St. Patrick's Day Promote Ireland Programme, Minister Alan Shatter TD, together with the Federal Under Secretary for Tourism, Mr Francisco Maass, officially launched the Ireland Mexico Social Tourism Programme. This Programme supports federal employees in Mexico to travel abroad and Ireland has been selected as the first partner country for the Programme.

Latest revelations raise yet more questions about HPAT – Mitchell O’Connor

Fine Gael Dun Laoghaire TD and Chair of the Fine Gael Internal Education Committee, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, has today (Monday) said that the latest revelations about the HPAT (Health Professionals Admissions Test) raise yet more questions about the medical school entrance exam, which must be completed by Leaving Certificate students hoping to study medicine at third level.

O’Donnell urges Limerick enterprises to attend tomorrow’s Taking Care of Business event

Fine Gael Limerick TD, Kieran O’Donnell, is encouraging local entrepreneurs and businesspeople to attend the ‘Taking Care of Business’ event which takes place tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Strand Hotel from 8.30am to 2.30pm. A total of 25 Government agencies will be on hand at the event to offer advice on how small businesses can access the supports they need to expand and create jobs.
