Ó Céidigh Appointment is good news for the Midwest – Conway

Fine Gael Clare Senator, Martin Conway, has today (Tuesday) welcomed the approval by Cabinet of  Pádraig Ó Céidigh as the Chair of the Shannon Group.

Senator Conway said: “This appointment is great news for Shannon Airport and tourism and business in the entire Midwest region.

“Pádraig Ó Céidigh is an innovator in business, particularly in the area of aviation. Through his involvement with Aer Arann he has a deep understanding and knowledge of aviation and its benefits to business and tourism in the region. His innovative style of business and track record is an ideal match to deliver real change and grow Shannon Airport.

“Pádraig Ó Céidigh’s appointment is excellent news and comes on the back the reintroduction of the Shannon – Heathrow flights and the announcement by the US Government of the re-opening of travel to and from the US.

“Having worked with Pádraig in Seanad Éireann I know first-hand how determined he is to achieve results and his commitment to the Midwest region”, Senator Conway concluded.
