Cllr Gabriel Keating
Gabriel holds an exceptional track record as a dynamic, capable and hard-working public representative since retiring from the financial services industry. He is continuously striving tirelessly to secure high quality services and facilities for his electorate. Well-known in Clare GAA circles, he is also delegate to the Annual Congress, vice president of Naomh Eoin GAA club, and is deeply honoured to be the first Clare man to receive the presidential award for his contribution to the GAA. He was the prime mover behind numerous highly successful local initiatives including the opening of Loop Head Lighthouse as a visitor centre in 2011. This project has created sixteen jobs and has already created an income to the local economy of €2.5 million. Future developments include work on the slip way at Querrin Pier. Certainly an achiever, Gabriel is looking forward to continuing to work to his full potential as an effective public representative that delivers the goods to the local community.
