Shane O’Callaghan
Shane was first elected as a Fine Gael Cork City Councillor for the Cork City South Central Ward in the Local Elections in May 2019. In June 2020, Shane was elected Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork City and held that office for twelve months.
Whether you are raising a young family, travelling to work or college or enjoying your retirement, Shane wants to ensure that Cork continues to be a great place for you to live.
Shane believes that it is vital that his area has a councillor from the Government party, to ensure that the area’s voice is properly heard at national level as well as at local level.
As a Barrister, speaking up for people in Court and negotiating on their behalf is what Shane been doing on a daily basis for the last 15 years. Shane now uses these skills to represent both his local area and Cork City as a whole.
