Cllr Kate Lynch

I was co-opted to Cork County Council in June 2025, to replace Cllr. Eileen Lynch, following her election to Seanad Éireann.  Originally from Macroom, I now live in Aghabullogue with my husband Denis and our three children.  A former teacher, I am very involved in the running of the family farm, a dairy and beef enterprise.

It is a great honour to represent the people of the Macroom Municipal District and my only promise is to work hard on your behalf.  As your local Councillor, I am committed to working towards the enhanced provision of community, sport and recreational facilities, the delivery of affordable and social houses, upgrading of rural roads and improved services for the elderly who want to stay in their own homes, and those who care for them.”.
