Jimmy Kavanagh
Jimmy is married to Roisin (nee McConnell) and has two daughters Michelle and Leah. He was educated at St.Eunan’s College, Letterkenny, Letterkenny IT, and the Institute of Public Administration, Dublin. He has a degree in Health Administration and a Certificate in Public Relations.
He is employed as a staff officer in the Information Technology Department in Letterkenny General Hospital and was elected to Letterkenny Town Council in June 2009. Jimmy has worked extremely hard for the people of Letterkenny since getting elected to the council; he has a strong sense of community and family, and has highlighted and championed many local issues.
Jimmy also has an impressive record for supporting local charities and clubs; he ran a table quiz for many years which raised in excess of €250,000 euro for a large variety of local groups and charities. He is an avid sports fan particularly Gaelic football and soccer and his nephew Rory is a member of the Donegal Senior Football team.
He is proud to continue to represent the Fine Gael party going forward.
