Cllr Declan Flanagan
Declan is a hard working and effective Councillor, who has represented local residents on Dublin City Council for more than a decade. Declan was re-elected in 2024 for the Artane-Whitehall area. He currently serves as Chair of the Climate Action and Urban Resilience Strategic Policy Committee.
Educated at St David’s BNS, Chanel College and Dublin Institute of Technology, Declan deals daily with housing cases, roads and footpaths, parks and amenities, and community safety.

- Affordable and cost-rental housing: Speed up delivery and help first time buyers get keys.
- Community Safety: Expand CCTV at proven hotspots and support stronger community policing.
- Small and Medium Businesses: Cut red tape and improve supports.
- Disability Services: Increase funding and make the public realm more accessible.
- Climate action: Deliver practical measures like home retrofits, flood protection, tree planting and better active travel where it works for local communities.
