Cllr David Coffey

Cllr David Coffey

David was co-opted as a Councillor in December, 2024, replacing James Geoghegan, following his election to Dáil Éireann.

David has been a proud resident of Pembroke for the past 15 years, where he lives with his wife Lorraine and their son Luke, who attends school locally. He is actively involved in the local community through some of the area’s sports clubs.

Professionally, David has worked in the financial industry for the last 25 years and currently holds a client-facing advisory role. Lorraine is a dedicated third-level educator.

A committed member of Fine Gael since 2016, David has served on the constituency Officer Board as Co-Treasurer and Honorary Secretary, as well as constituency coordinator for the annual Super Draw. He has played an increasingly active role in every election campaign in Dublin Bay South since 2016, working hard to support the party and its candidates.

David’s values—integrity, loyalty, hard work, and service—reflect his dedication to giving back to a society that has offered him and his family so much. He is passionate about making Dublin a cleaner, safer, and more attractive city, with a focus on tackling key issues such as traffic, transport, litter, and homelessness.
