Cllr Lorraine Hall

Electoral Area: Dún Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council

Cllr Lorraine Hall

I’m Lorraine Hall and I was elected as a Councillor on my first outing in the 2019 Local Elections.

I’m originally from Cootehill in Co. Cavan and am living with my partner Conall on the Upper Glenageary Road. Like you, I love our area. I’m committed to working for our community. I want to see Dún Laoghaire town centre thrive, a greater emphasis placed on protecting our environment, clean streets, well-kept footpaths and roads, and I want us to feel safe and secure in our homes.

I work in Ibec, so I know the challenges and opportunities we face in local business and the economy. But as a young woman with bills to pay and very active in the local community, I also know that a good life is about more than economics. It’s about community, kindness, how we look after each other and mind the environment we share. These are the values I stand for. I want to highlight and foster these in our community.
Before Ibec, I worked as a Special Adviser for the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Heather Humphreys TD, a Press Adviser for the Minister for Justice and Defence, Alan Shatter TD, and a Policy and Research Officer for former Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD. I have lots of experience dealing with policy and legislation and helping people with issues of concern.
