Jennifer was elected as a TD for Dún Laoghaire in the 2020 General Election. Prior to this, she was elected to represent the Killiney-Shankill Ward on Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council in May 2019 on her first attempt.
Since first being elected as a public representative, Jennifer has prioritised families experiencing homelessness and domestic abuse awareness. She has supported, and personally assisted a number of homeless women with small children to find appropriate accommodation. She has also worked closely with Coercive Control Ireland to raise awareness of this issue.
Since being elected as a TD, Jennifer has continued to work for constituents at a national level, drawing on a decade of experience working in Government on policy and legislation. She is passionate about politics as a tool to improve social justice, opportunity and fairness.
Previously Jennifer has worked within Fine Gael as well as in government for the Department for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Department for Justice and Equality and the Department for Children and Youth Affairs.
