Peter Keaveney

Peter earns his living as a farmer and an Agricultural Contractor. Married to Mairead, they have a young family and a very busy household. He is the chairman of the Clane festival committee, President of the local drama group the Players, which has qualified for the All Ireland competition in Claremorris and also a member of Glenamaddy Musical Society as well as former chair of Glenamaddy Community Council and the IFA.

Peter is interested in promoting the interests of the youth and of local families. He is sensitive to the huge benefits provided to all, but particularly to young people, by active participation in sports, and is keen to access substantial funding to develop many and varied sporting facilities. He is also aware of the need to continue to nurture a vibrant rural life and is committed to taking the action necessary to keep people in the rural community.
