Cllr Declan Ryan
Declan was co-opted to Kildare County Council in November 2025, following the resignation of Lumi Panaite Fahey due to work commitments.
He is a life long member of Fine Gael and was elected in 1979, to then Dublin Corporation (now Dublin City Council }, at 22 years of age – becoming the youngest member ever elected at the time, serving until 1985.
He recently retired after working for almost 50 years in the hospitality industry, and is now a full time public representative for Celbridge and Kildare, where he has lived for 26 years with his family.
Declan will be addressing issues that affect the daily lives of the residents of Celbridge including the delivery of the second bridge in Celbridge, providing community facilities in the Parochial House, and recreation facilities in Donaghcumper.
