Adam Teskey

Adam is the youngest son of John and Rae Teskey, born in 1989.  The Teskey family name is linked with the Rathkeale /Adare area for over 300 years, and has a close association with farming and the production of timber products.

Adam has been strongly involved in Fine Gael from a very young age and volunteered to work with former TD Michael Finucane in 2002. He has held different positions in the Party both at local and constituency level and was successfully co-opted to Limerick County and City Council in March 2016, following the election of Tom Neville to Dáil Éireann.

Adam was elected on the first count in 2019, heading the poll in Adare-Rathkeale. He was subsequently elected as Leas-Cathaoirleach of Limerick City and County Council, for 2019-20.

Adam is an auctioneer by profession also has worked in the hotel industry in his school years.

He attended college in Cork where he studied Real estate and gained a full time sales position with Mervyn Shorten Ltd Agri Machinery sales in Croom Co. Limerick and latterly with Deerpark Motors in Charleville, main Renault dealers.

Adam is a member of the IFA and has a particular interest in history and vintage machinery.

A very effective speaker, he is known for his straight talking and being able to identify quickly needs and demands. He is keen to represent all sectors of society particularly business and the agri-sector.
