Dolores Minogue

Dolores was elected Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council in June 2020, and held that office for twelve months.

Elected to Louth County Council, representing the Ardee electoral area since 2014, Dolores was initially elected as a public representative to Ardee Town Council in 2009. She is married to Tom and is a busy mother to five children. A caring, capable and hardworking councillor she is deeply rooted and sensitive to the needs of the electorate within her community.

She is actively involved with many local organisations and deserving causes including Louth Volunteer Centre and Square United Football Club Committee. She is also on the Board of Management of Ardees Monasters National School and is also on the Save St. Joseph’s Hospital Committee. She will work to secure for Louth the best possible services available in terms of the allocation of quality housing and also she is keen to promote the area to achieve its full potential economically, socially and culturally.

Her priorities include securing sufficient funding to provide new premises for local sports groups including Ardee Boxing and cycling clubs that currently have inadequate or no facilities at all. She is committed to being a strong local voice who will work with passion, integrity and honesty for all local people within her electoral area to the absolute best of her ability.
