Niamh Brady

Niamh Brady is a Fine Gael local election candidate in your area. She grew up in Latt outside Cavan Town, the eldest of four children (sister Aoife Fitzpatrick and brothers Daire and Diarmuid Argue).

Her family has a long history of public service and local politics. Her late grandfather, Andy O’Brien, was a Fine Gael County Councillor and Senator. Her father, Terry Argue, was a former Town Councillor, and her mother, Madeleine Argue, is a sitting County Councillor, and will be stepping down in June after 25 years of service on Cavan County Council.

Niamh is married to Cathal Brady from Arva, and they have 10-year-old twins, Fiadh and Óran. They live in Roscalgan outside Cavan Town, and Niamh is passionate about serving her local community and the wider Cavan-Belturbet electoral area.

If elected to Cavan County Council, she will bring approachability, empathy and a positive ‘CAN DO’ spirit to her work. She is committed to working in a partnership approach with individuals, community groups, sporting organisations, business owners and employers to make change happen.

She knows firsthand what politics and public service is all about – putting people first. She’s committed to working hard and making a positive difference in her community. She believes that by working together, you can achieve great things.
