Minister Brophy announces €2.5 million Irish Aid funding to UNAIDS

The Minister for Overseas Development Aid and the Disapora, Colm Brophy TD, today announced Irish Aid funding of €2.5 million to UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS. The Minister made the announcement at a meeting with UNAIDS Executive Director, Winnie Byanyima, to mark UN Day of Zero Discrimination.

Minister Colm Brophy opens call for Applications to the Civil Society Fund

Minister for Overseas Development Aid and the Diaspora, Colm Brophy T.D., today opened the call for applications to Irish Aid’s Civil Society Fund 2022 round. The Fund supports NGOs to carry out projects with a duration of 1 to 3 years in countries eligible for overseas development assistance.

The Minister of State for Overseas Development Aid and Diaspora, Colm Brophy, T.D. is in New York today, 20 October, for a series of engagements at the United Nations Security Council, to meet Irish Community Organisations and to announce funding of more than $1 million from the Emigrant Support Programme to Irish Organisations in New York, the greater Tri-State Area and Pennsylvania.
