Joe Neville, TD

Constituency: Kildare North

Joe Neville, TD

Joe was elected as a member of Dáil Éireann in November, 2024. Paul Brooks has been co-opted as a member of Kildare County Council, replacing Joe.

Joe is the Fine Geal spokesperson on Infrastructure and Delivery. He is the Vice-Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on Infrastructure and also sits on the Public Accounts Committee and the Budgetary Oversight Committee.

Since elected, Joe has focused on ensuring that Infrastructure delivery is seen in Kildare North. Projects like the Dart+ West all the way to Kilcock and delivering Dart+ South West to serve the people of Sallins and Naas, a second bridge in Celbridge, delivery of the Maynooth relief road, water upgrades in Leixlip and a traffic solution for Clane are of key importance. Finding a resolution to the issue of Castletown House was a key priority for Joe as a Cllr and as a TD and a resolution was found in December of 2025.

As a TD, he prioritises healthcare in the community, revitalising our town and village centres with stronger legislation and more funding to end dereliction, delivering a Swimming Pool for North Kildare and ensure stable incomes for Kildare’s farmers.

Joe will  continue to work on co-ordinating the building of more schools in North Kildare with the Department of Education, obtain funding for community facilities and creche space, and help small businesses through supports and critical business infrastructure.

Joe is married to Caroline and they have three children. He was elected as Mayor of County Kildare for 2024/25 after serving 15 years in the council and is involved with a range of community groups including the GAA, Soccer, director of two community centres and on the board of management of a local secondary school. He is heavily involved in the GAA, coaching underage football and hurling.

He is a chartered accountant and studied in UCD where he completed his degree in Commerce. He trained in PwC and later worked as a Financial Controller. From 2018 until elected, he worked with his business partner as a consultant in Maynooth advising Irish companies.
