Local Fine Gael Senator, Neale Richmond has welcomed the news that a site has been identified for Stepaside Educate Together Secondary School.
“After years of work on this, I am delighted that Minister for Education, Richard Bruton, has confirmed to me that a potential site has been identified for Stepaside Educate Together Secondary School. Agreement in principle has been reached subject to satisfactory completion of the conveyancing process.
“The specific site is located on lands owned by Horse Racing Ireland off the Ballyogan Road, adjacent to Leopardstown Racecourse.
“This is great news for our area and for the school community.
“Stepaside Educate Together Secondary School is a vital part of our growing local community and when fully up and running, it will cater for 1,000 pupils on a co-educational basis.
“Currently Stepaside Educate Together Secondary School is colocating with Stepaside Educate Together National School at their new home in Belarmine. It is fantastic that the Secondary School will be getting its own site to secure its future.
