26th September 2014 - Fine Gael Press Office
Fine Gael candidate in the Roscommon/South Leitrim bye-election, Maura Hopkins, has warmly welcomed substantial funding for two new classrooms at St Marys NS in Knockcroghery.
“I’m very pleased that funding has been approved for the construction of a central activities room and a learning support room. This is very welcome news for the school and the local community.
“This significant allocation has been sanctioned by the School Building Unit at the Department of Education.
“This funding will now enable work on the new classrooms to proceed once the respective tendering process has been completed.
“It is also important to note that projects such as these also help to stimulate economic activity by supporting construction jobs in the local economy.”
