Innovative NCAD connecting students to industry – Byrne
9th June 2014 - Fine Gael Press Office
Fine Gael Dublin South Central TD, Catherine Byrne, attended the launch of Origin 8, NCAD’s new industry gateway and innovation hub today (Thursday) with An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD.
“I was delighted to attend today’s launch of Origin 8, NCAD’s new industry gateway and innovation hub with An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD. Origin 8 is all about collaboration between academia and industry. It’s about utilising the skills of NCAD students in the real world, and connecting them with the supports they need to set up businesses.
“Considering Origin 8 is based in NCAD, it is no surprise that creativity and innovation are key.
“It was a real honour to be there today to see the talent and creativity of the young people involved in this project. We are so lucky to have so many talented young people, from Ireland and abroad, working to develop new companies with the excellent supports available to them in NCAD.”
