James Bannon TD
James Bannon TD is a Fine Gael TD for the Longford Westmeath constituency. He was first elected to the Dáil in May 2007.
He was elected on the Seanad Éireann Industrial and Commercial Panel in July, 2002. He was the Party’s Spokesperson on Environment, Local Government and Heritage in the Upper House.
He is a farmer and auctioneer from Legan, Co. Longford. James was first elected to Longford County Council in 1985. He was re-elected on two occasions, each time topping the poll in County Longford. During this time he became the youngest Chairperson of Longford County Council.
