Cllr Mary Hanna Hourigan
Mary-Hanna works as a full time public representative; married to Joe they have three grown children.
She was first elected in 2009, and was elected as Leas-Chathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council in June 2020, and will hold that office for twelve months.
Going forward, her priority is to tackle the substantial challenge faced by the area in terms of unemployment. Very much a compassionate and caring elected member Mary-Hanna works tirelessly on a voluntary basis in the areas of promoting positive mental health as well as assisting vulnerable children, the marginalised and elderly people in her local electoral area. She is regular visitor to Cluain Arran Residential home and assists the most vulnerable and needy in her local electoral area.
