Therese Doohan
Therese Doohan, lives in Mullagh with her husband Francis and four daughters on the family farm. She has a diverse working background in health care, banking, insurance, self-employment, retail and tourism, and currently works with The Brothers of Charity.
Therese is passionate about her local area and has a long history of community involvement; Mullagh Youth Club, Mullagh Community Sports Field, Kilmurry Ibrickane Ladies Club, KIB All Ireland 7’s and The Darling Girl Festival. Other groups include Parish Pastoral Council, IGG, ICA and Mullagh Show.
She has been involved with Ladies football at club, county, provincial and national level, currently serving as the Clare LGFA County registrar.
Therese wants to listen and advocate for improvements in her community, more rural development, safer roads, and facilities for people with disabilities, our youth and ageing communities.
She is passionate about ensuring West Clare is a place where people can live, work and raise their families.
