Val Gillane
My name is Val Gillane , your new local election candidate for Fine Gael.
Many of you will know me from Clancy’s Foodstore Blackwater, where I have spent over three decades serving our community, retiring two years ago.
Originally from Patrickswell, for the past 44yrs I have called Gillogue Clonlara home. I’m married to Catherine (nee Freeman) from Newmarket on Fergus and together we have raised five children.
I am living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). While MS is a part of me it does not define me. Through family and work (and the GAA), the community around me plays a huge part of my life.
I now want to give something back to our community. I want to hear from you how the Council services and facilities can be improved for you and your family. We are all living here. We must work together to promote, protect and enhance the community around us for all our families.
