I served on Buncrana Town Council from 1992-2014. I served as Chairperson and Mayor on several occasions.
My aims are to protect Buncrana’s position as the premier town in Inishowen.
- I will be seeking for Donegal County Council to reinstate direct access to services to the communities of South Inishowen.
- As a homeowner with Defective Concrete Blocks, I am only too aware of the struggles facing us. I will continue to fight on our behalf.
- Countless busloads of children travel to Derry to avail of their swimming pool facilities while our pool is not operational. Having fought to secure ring-fenced funding of €2million for the swimming pool project, it upsets me to see people having to travel to access a facility that should be in our town.
- I will prioritise the promotion of Inishowen as a tourist destination. I have lobbied for the prevention of the sale of the Old Garda Station by the OPW. I want to ensure its historical integrity be kept intact and retained as a community asset.
- Work with the Council Executive to deal properly with the water supply issues from the Fullerton Dam.
If elected by you, I will use my widespread knowledge and experience to the advantage of the Buncrana Local Electoral Area. I am asking for your Number 1 vote or next highest preference on Friday, 7th June.
