Emma Blain

Emma has been selected as a candidate to contest the Pembroke Electoral Area in Dublin Bay South. An experienced councillor, she has represented the Glencullen Sandyford area on Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council since 2016. She was re-elected in 2019.

She is also part of the Irish delegation as a member of the European Committee of the Regions, and is an active member of the European Peoples’ Party (EPP). Emma is also editor of The Church of Ireland Gazette.

Emma grew up in Rathmines, was educated in Taney Parish Primary School Dundrum, Wesley College, Ballinteer and UCD, and has two children.

She is committed to improving our recreational facilities and greater supports for local businesses. Emma wants to continue to see improvements to the public realm for better family life, active transport, and to especially represent the concerns of women and young families.
