Eoin O’Driscoll

Eoin was recently appointed as Fine Gael’s Local Area Representative for Dundrum and has been nominated by the party to contest the Local Elections in 2024. He is passionate about using local politics to ensure that Dundrum is the best possible place to live, raise a family and grow old in.

Growing up, Eoin went to school in Árd Tona, Churchtown and St. Michael’s College, played football with Dundrum AFC and hurling with Kilmacud Crokes. He completed his studies in Trinity College Dublin and King’s College London.

For the past few years, Eoin has worked as a strategic communications consultant in the private sector. Previously, he worked for Minister Josepha Madigan, supporting her Constituency and Oireachtas work. Eoin has also worked as Political Adviser to the Irish Mission to the United Nations, focusing on the Middle East Peace Process, and has served as a human rights monitor in Palestine and Israel.

As a keen advocate for Ireland’s role at the heart of Europe, Eoin has been actively engaged with EU-level politics and civil society for over a decade.

His priorities include:

  • Improving public transport and active travel infrastructure
  • Establishing our council as a national leader in sustainability
  • Building more homes
  • Supporting local enterprise
  • Ensuring stronger, safer communities
