Conor McMahon
I am self-employed and the proud owner of The Paper Clip Stationery Store for last 20 years; I was previously a Councillor for the Rathfarnham Templeogue electoral area.
I am on the Board of Management of a local national school and on the B.O.C. of a local credit union. I previously served on the board of TU Dublin, South Dublin Co. Partnership and Dublin & Dún Laoghaire E.T.B., and on the Economic & Tourism Development SPC in South Dublin Co Co.
A hard work ethic is in my blood; my father Larry represented this area for over 25 years as T.D., Senator & Councillor.
I am married with 2 children.
My Priorities as a Councillor will be:
- Local Property Tax: to ensure it is kept to a minimum and spent locally in our area to improve libraries, parks, roads and childcare facilities.
- Increased Garda Visibility for our Area
- Continue to support the use of the River Dodder as a Greenway and Recreational Area
- Supporting Community based Initiatives to help provide a positive Environment for us all
- Advocating for local Sports Clubs and Schools
- Ensure continued Investment for Community Centres and facilities for our teenagers
- Supporting local businesses
