Tony Donnelly
Experience, Commitment, Service
Throughout his life, Tony has had a deep commitment to South Kerry and its people. As a dedicated family man and long time volunteer and community activist, he understands the challenges of living on the Iveragh Peninsula and also sees the great opportunities there.
If elected by you to Kerry County Council in June, he will bring all his passion, commitment and experience to the job of making life better for everyone in our community.
Tony’s background:
- 35 years service in the Irish Coastguard (33 as Officer in Charge)
- Business (many years self-employed in the hospitality industry)
- GAA (served on Waterville and South Kerry Boards, former referee)
- Education (Parent Representative during the early development of Coláiste na Sceilge)
- Over 40 years service to local people working, with Fine Gael elected representatives
Currently:
- Chairman, South Kerry Development Partnership
- Chairperson of Waterville Community Care
- Committee member of Kerry Local Link
Tony’s priorities:
- Primary Care Centre in Cahersiveen for the people of South Kerry
- More affordable housing for our young people in South Kerry
- Better, safer roads throughout Iveragh
- A co-ordinated approach to maximise the benefits and opportunities of the South Kerry Greenway for everyone
