Brian Kenny
Brian Kenny, is a proud native of Athy, and he is honoured to have been selected as a candidate to contest the Local Elections, in June 2024, in the Athy Electoral Area. As he works with local voluntary community groups and sporting clubs, he is fully aware of the challenges that people face in Athy, but recognises the resilience of the people. Brian wants to use the New Ring Road and the Barrow Blueway as catalysts for further development and improvements in our town.
Having played Gaelic football with Castlemitchell and soccer with Athy Town FC as a younger man, Brian is currently the manager of Clonmullion FC and is proud of their success in recent years. He wants to bring his enthusiasm and skills to the role of County Councillor, to improve the areas in which people of Athy live.
Married to Ciara O’Keeffe, and father of two teenage children, Brian is passionate about the provision of facilities and services for younger residents. He wants to be an advocate for young people in Athy and will always want to hear what they have to say.
Brian have always been part of a team, whether through work or sport, and he wants to work with you to make Athy an even better place to live, work and visit.
