I am delighted to have been chosen to contest next year’s local elections for the Tramore/Waterford City West electoral area. When I was first approached to consider standing for election to Waterford City and County Council, l was taken aback because I haven’t been active in politics. However, having deliberated it over a period of time, I decided now was the right time for me to give back to Waterford and make a difference in people’s lives.
I have always been a proud Waterford man and have represented Waterford both on stage and screen, both nationally and internationally. Waterford has been my home for the majority of my life. I have worked here, I have run a business here and there is no doubt we are blessed to live in a city and county that has so much to offer. That being said, I am also aware of the challenges experienced by individuals, families and businesses.
I feel I have the life skills and experiences to represent you, the people of Waterford on local matters. I look forward to getting out and chatting with you between now and election day.
