Harry Twomey

Local Election Candidate

Electoral Area: New Ross

Wexford Council

Harry Twomey

I live in Ballycullane outside New Ross; I’m married to Claire and we have two adult sons and a teenage daughter. I am self-employed and work in the construction industry as a plastering contractor.

Getting involved in my local community has always been important to me. I served two terms on the Board of Management of St. Leonard’s NS and have been involved for many years with my local GAA Club, Gusserane O’Rahilly’s, as an underage coach and also served as Secretary and Chairperson of Gusserane Coiste Na nÓg. I am currently secretary of Gusserane Camogie Club. Recently I was central to setting up the Tintern Drama Group.

Over the past twenty years I have been a part of a very active Fine Gael organisation in Co. Wexford and was always willing to take on different roles at New Ross District and Constituency level. I was elected as Constituency Chairperson in 2014 to 2016 and again in 2022.

In my spare time I like to go to club and county matches, go for walks and relax with friends and family.
